The Vehicle-Power Adapter Kit (V-PAK) from NVS is an alternate power source for the Phoenix family of combat identification beacons. Phoenix beacons are normally powered by a standard (BA-3090) 9-volt battery that must be periodically replaced. When attached to a vehicle battery, the V-PAK powered Phoenix beacon will operate for an indefinite period. The V-PAK is attached to the FM radio antenna, at a height that clears the top of the vehicle.
