The new MX-2A is a portable, lightweight, versatile thermal imaging camera that can easily fit into a pocket. The MX-2A can be used as a handheld thermal imager, tripod mounted device or a stand alone weapon sight. It is compatible with current weapon day optics for use as an expedient clip-on thermal weapon sight. The MX-2A is equipped with a removable eyepiece with OLED display, which is helmet mountable on current issue mounts with use of a helmet adapter kit. The MX-2A is conveniently powered by only four 123 batteries and uses the same thermal imaging technology as the Lightweight Thermal Weapon Sight.
